AIR:

The main airline running services to Togo is Air Afrique (RK), in which Togo is a shareholder. Other airlines operating to Togo include Air France, Ghana Airways, KLM and Sabena. Togo has become an important transit point for air travel in Africa. There are frequent flights to major African destinations. Approximate flight time: From Lomé to NYC is 8 hours.

International airport:

Lomé (LFW) is 4km (2.5 miles) northeast of the city. Airport facilities include bar, restaurant, snack bar, shops, bank, post office, duty-free shop and car hire. Taxi and bus services are available to the city centre.

ROAD:

There are routes from Benin, Ghana and Burkina Faso but conditions are unreliable.

Bus/taxi:

National bus and taxi systems are reasonably efficient and cheap. Taxis and minibuses are widely available in Lomé and shared taxis are available between towns. There is a surcharge for luggage. Drivers do not expect a tip.
